BLOG 16: Kimono Wearing & Final Prez

My favorite part of this day was getting a chance to wear this beautiful Yukata (casual kimono)! We saw a lovely performance, given by the Kimono Club, and then they let us give the kimono’s a try. It was a lot of fun! (One girl looked like she didn’t want to be there though… so that made me feel bad for her…)

Before this, earlier in the day, we all gave our Final Presentations. Ari and I talked about Japanese Traditional-Modern houses. We worked really hard on it, and had a couple meltdowns along the way… but I think we ended up doing well, and enjoying talking about all of our chosen research topics (a few I even had from previous experiences)… and it all went well in the end. 🙂

We had everyone play a game that reminded us of “Telephone”. Everyone gave the person next to them a theme/idea, and then that person had to draw a house themed that way… pass it along to the next person who then guessed what the theme was supposed to be and so on….

With someone else’s prez, we played a fun Geisha game, a card matching game, pin the face on the face game, listened to stories about Shinto mythology, and even wrote our own Haiku. It was a lot of fun! It was the most fun I’ve had in class!! 😀 I give it a 10 out of 10!!! lol. 😉
